It's been a while since I last posted ...oh wow one month ago (seriously I never thought it was that long ago). As always my main excuse is my busy body dealing with school, homework, school, and ugh more homework. So....where should I start?
Well what else but food!!!

I found a good fried rice restaurant just across from the Japanese restaurant I last posted about. (In gongguan: 公館 )
What's so special about this restaurant? Well it was first started in 1956 in Japan as a noodle shop. Then the owner decided to start cooking fried rice and then he decided to move to Taiwan in the 70's. The original owner passed away sometime in the 90's and now the son or grandson is running the business. Currently the business is making $$$ and is always crowded, the regular wait is 20-30 min. Why I like this place...it's so yummy good and dirt cheap. Chicken fried rice is only NT$ 60 ~ $1.87 USD.
Not to far away from the big blue building in gongguan is a really tiny teashop.
The really good tea I order is red tea with one scoop of vanilla ice cream or another called Dong-hua (I'm not sure what it is but it's even sweeter then the red tea) also with one scoop of ice cream。It's a pretty big 1200cc of goodness but I always manage to finish all of it by the time I get to class or my dorm (which is about 4-5 min away). Total cost is NT $35 ~ $1.13 USD.
Last but not least a nice picture of Taipeo 101 from my Chinese language classroom window on the last good day I've seen since. (it's been raining since....non stop).
