Well it's been a crazy week getting ready to go to the my friends wedding. I had to pick up my shirts from the department store near Taipei 101 then rush over to Ximen to pick up my suit. So how much did the suit cost me you say? It was NT $8500.00 ~ $265.63 USD. Was it well worth it...I think it was. Since I am an "irregular" size it made me look like a million bucks...ok ok well maybe shy of about $1k. lol
(those pic's will come as soon as I get them from my buddy who was at the wedding)
So that same week I didn't sleep all week. I left my place at 8pm Friday to catch my flight.
Yea the bus was not full at all. These bus'sto the airport arrive every 20 seconds and are often empty.
I didn't get to the airport till 10:30pm. Traffic was a pain in the rear due to the rain, accidents and construction along the Highway.
This is how Taoyuan airport looks like at 10:30pm.

My initial thoughts??? I didn't think it would be this well...uhm...this way.
I arrived at my hotel with a beautiful view, ok well half a beautiful view from my room window.
The church was huge and the AC was broken. None of the fans were working either. Electricity shortages are common in Cebu.
Then the wedding started at 1:30pm
Here is my buddy Peter (grooms brother), wrestled with me in high school.
Here is the groom Kevin with mom and dad (Roger and Mimi Voth). Kevin also wrestled in the same team with me in High school. Funny thing is he wouldn't even bother to wrestle me haha and yet I'm at his wedding some odd years later. lol
And...drum roll....
Had to put this up. The flower girls were so cute with huge smiles from ear to ear.
and yeah eagerly waiting (can't you notice??? heh).
Finally the bride arrives, the groom gives his thanks and Mr Tan allows her daughter to wed the groom. (This signifies acceptance of the groom into the Tan family)
The same ritual repeats for the bride.
Gee...I wonder if they were nervous??? You know with a chruch full of people, the pastor and Jesus in front...haha. Now kinda fast forward...
They say "I do". Yeah tears tears and more tears (oh wait it was only me).
She places his ring on his finger, then he places her ring on her finger.
Oh yea....this is a philippino church...it's not over yet.
The guys looking tired and sweaty. (Left to right: Matt aka Digital memory, David, Ben, Jojo, sorry I didn't get those two and Peter)
Finally they legally sign the paperwork in front of everyone. (Geez in america weddings are twice as fast and a separate meeting is conducted for signing paperwork plus a visit to city hall.)
Now...how about some shut eye. TAXI!!!
